The Master of Science (MSc) usually is given for successfully achieving postgraduate programs with a science or technical point of convergence.

Bioinformatics concerns the application of computer-based approaches to the understanding of biological processes. The technology of today gives us high-capacity analysis of genes and proteins which make it necessary to integrate informatics when solving biological problems.
