Introduction
The Master's in Criminal Justice and Criminology integrates the study of the components of the justice system, the analysis of deviant behavior, and the application of research methodology to obtain a better understanding of the strategies necessary to prevent and manage criminal behavior. With this new name and structure, the master's degree prepares professionals to learn about the criminal justice system, its components, processes, and what happens within each of them.
The program offers students the necessary tools to analyze the relevant theories on criminal etiology, and consider strategies for the prevention, intervention, and management of criminal behavior, through the application of scientific methods, qualitative and quantitative research, writing, and preparation of proposals. , scenario development and data interpretation. The program also provides an opportunity to master the strategies and steps to work effectively at a crime scene and understand the basics of evidence analysis.
