Introduction
Master in Law
Presentation
It is intended to provide the acquisition of knowledge and skills essential to the specialized training of lawyers particularly prepared to face the professional world or to pursue studies at a higher level.
The Masters in Law has a highly qualified faculty, which combines specialists from different areas, from the Catholic University and the most prestigious universities, chosen for their high technical competence and also great pedagogical capacity.
From the combination of all these possibilities, the student can define the “master's profile” they are looking for, being able to choose between a more scientific path, in conjunction with the research carried out at the School's Center for Studies and Research, a training more directed to access to forensic professions, or else, especially for those who are already in a professional context, to seek to satisfy demands for updating and specializing knowledge in the area of Law. In any case, it will come out with the quality mark of the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University.

Course Operation
Master's degrees have 90 ECTS, of which 60 ECTS correspond to the teaching phase, which takes place over two semesters, and 30 ECTS to the dissertation, corresponding to one semester.
To carry out the 60 ECTS foreseen, the student can choose between more than 100 disciplines and seminars, composing the study plan that best suits his preferences and plans.
If you intend, as is usually the case, to complete a Masters in Law in a given area of specialization, you must complete at least 33 ECTS in curricular units in that area, being able to choose, for the rest, curricular units from other areas, composing an interdisciplinary and personalized curricular plan . It should be noted that this model is unique in our country but corresponds to the practice followed in some of the best American and European universities.
There are seven areas of specialization currently offered, as they are understood to be the main areas of activity of the jurist and whose completion enables the student to enter the job market competitively:

Mobility
International Internships
The School of Law is strongly committed to providing its students with the comprehensive and qualifying training that results from international mobility experiences. In this context, it encourages and promotes various types of international internships, depending on the objectives and the student's profile, within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme, Free Mobility or the Curricular Internships Program at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Students who carry out these internships may benefit, for this purpose, from an Erasmus+ grant, if the internship takes place in a country covered by this program (eg, Member States of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Macedonia, Turkey), as well as a possible reduction in tuition fees during the mobility period.
Recognition of these internships stems from enrollment in the diploma supplement, when curricular value is not recognized. All students enrolled in the 2nd cycle of the School of Law can apply for the following types of international internships:
