The Rice University Master of Bioengineering (MBE) is a widely recognized, professional non-thesis degree that provides students with greater depth in their bioengineering training. We offer 2 degree concentrations: Applied Bioengineering (AB) and Global Medical Innovation (GMI).
The Applied Bioengineering concentration for the Rice University Master of Bioengineering degree is a flexible curriculum for students pursuing careers in academia, medicine or related fields. This concentration can be further enhanced with a course-based or research-based specialization.
