Environment and Resources Management (ENREM)With focus on Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)Double Degree Master Program between Mexico and Germany As Latin American and Caribbean Countries (LAC) experience economic development, concerns on environmental degradation and contamination continue to grow. The region faces serious challenges such as climate change and natural disasters; and under conditions of population growth, urbanization and industrialization efficient environmental policies and programs are required to sustainably manage the natural resources. The master program "Environment and Resources Management (ENREM)" qualifies young professionals from Latin America and Europe with the necessary skills, tools, and methods to evolve and apply integrated solutions for environmental and natural resources management in an international context. ENREM is based on the renowned and accredited master programs “Multidisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Environmental Sciences – PMPCA” (Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, UASLP) and “Natural Resources Management and Development – NRM”, formerly known as “ Technology and Resources Management in the Tropics and Subtropics – TERMA” (Cologne University of Applied Sciences, CUAS). Both institutions and programs have lasting experience in interdisciplinary applied research regarding land and urban management, and the assessment of water, energy and other renewable resources, climate change adaptation, environmental toxicology and environmental risks. Admission Latin American and European students as well as international students with a proven interest in Latin America, to be selected on a competitive basis. Requirements Bachelor's degree A relation to the environmental management, either through previous studies or professional experience An average grade of minimum 8.0 in the Mexican grading system or an equivalent is required Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL PBT 550 points (CBT: 213, IBT: 79), IELTS Band 6 Proficiency in Spanish for the German students Study Fees Registration fees at both Universities Basic course fees for field trips, conference participation, and course material Scholarships The CONACyT offers full times scholarships for covering living expenses to Latin-American applicants German students may receive a CONACyT scholarship for covering living expenses during their stay in Latin American countries Application Application deadlines for scholarship and non-scholarship applicants: February 28th each year Courses start in August each year Information about the application process and application forms available on www.enrem-master.info
