Designed for students aiming to work in research, education, and industry in the life sciences sector. Specifically, this MSc will provide you with an advanced understanding of current and emerging issues in both Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare and provide you with an extensive range of lectures on a variety of topics. Applicants are advised to apply as early as possible and ideally no later than 31st July 2022 for courses that commence in late September. In the event that any programme receives a high number of applications, the University reserves the right to close the application portal. Notifications to this effect will appear on the Direct Application Portal against the programme application page. Please note a deposit will be required to guarantee a place on the course. Due to high demand, applications may not be considered if the course has reached its maximum class size and will be placed on a waiting list. -

This Master's, with a professional and investigative nature, presents as final objective to contribute to the specialization of postgraduate students, providing them with a global and integrating vision of Animal Health and Food Safety, which responds to current and future needs in these matters, in order to a society without borders, socio-labor and economically globalized. In summary, the concept "one health" is a fundamental pillar of this Master. At the same time, the Master enables the acquisition of the necessary knowledge and techniques to be able to carry out doctoral studies in these specialties. Who teaches it? Faculty of the ULPGC specialist in Animal Health, Animal Pathology, Animal Production and Welfare, Bromatology and Food Technology, Anatomy, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Physiology, Genetics and Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry. Invited professionals from the field of Animal Health and Food Safety from private companies and public administrations also participate. How do I prepare it? You will learn on your own (autonomous student work) by attending master classes, seminars, workshops, classroom practices, laboratory practices, clinical practices, tutored individual and group work, tutorials, and evaluation activities. This title is face-to-face and therefore a minimum attendance is required. You have the Virtual Campus platform for academic efforts. On this platform, the submission of works, the request for face-to-face or virtual tutorials, the download of the agenda, the participation in forums or some evaluation activities, among other functions, are enabled.
