The DNP is a practice doctorate serving as a terminal professional degree for nurses in advanced practice and nursing administration. DNP graduates will be eligible to sit for the national Family Nurse Practitioner certification exam through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification program (AANPCP).
