WE ARE AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION COMMITTED TO THE TRAINING OF QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS, IN THE ARTS OF DESIGN AND MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGIES OF DESIGN, WITH AN ENTREPRENEURIAL SENSE THAT CONTRIBUTES FROM INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR PROJECTS. THE EDUCATIONAL PROJECT IS BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF LEARNING BY DOING, SO STUDENTS CAN APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCES ACQUIRED IN THE VARIOUS FIELDS OF DESIGN.
The Gestalt School of Art and Design of Tuxtla has developed in its years of life a methodological teaching proposal based on the psychology of perception (referring not only to data but also to the study of factors that stimulate or inhibit creativity) and inform and configuration theory, where it takes its name. The Schools based on the theory of form have their antecedents in the origins of the modern movement in the fusion of the Schools of arts and industrial trades, with the Schools of architecture in Europe as in the case of the Bauhaus and the UIm of Germany, the Basel in Switzerland and the Polytechnic School in Milan, Italy.
The latter is where the theory of the design methodology of the Gestalt School of Art and Design of Tuxtla comes from, with its own contributions based on the experience of the founding teacher, Arq. Javier Sánchez Vázquez. The Gestalt School of Art and Design of Tuxtla is an institution specialized in the teaching and research of design in the teaching and research of design in the field of higher education. Its quality then is that it is not dispersed in the generic world of knowledge but rather all activities based on design; making them theoretical-practical, linking them all intimately; This means that we do not have filler subjects, only those essential to obtain professional training of excellence and all of them are approached with the same purpose: to develop the project activity; this defines it as a School.
