Introduction

The first headquarters of the Institution was at the Colegio de San José De la Salle, located at that time in the Boston neighborhood of Medellín, where today the Astronomical Observatory and the Museum of Natural Sciences work, works developed by the De la Salle Brothers. In 2001, the Corporation moved to the municipality of Caldas, Antioquia, south of the Metropolitan Area of ​​the Aburrá Valley, 17 kilometers from Medellín. Its physical characteristics allow it to be classified as a modern, futuristic university campus adapted to contemporary academic needs.

The Lasallian University Corporation has strengthened the fulfillment of the missionary mandate to direct its educational action preferentially to those most in need, through the adoption of a system of payment of tuition fees that takes into account the socio-economic condition of students. In addition, the Lasallian Solidarity Fund -SOL-, which supports students in their food and transportation expenses.

The Corporation is an educational work that shows its growth in the number of students, in the offer of undergraduate and graduates academic programs, in academic production, in groups and lines of research, in scientific publications, and in the actions of projection.
