Panamerican University Mexico

Introduction

The Universidad Panamericana was founded in 1967 as a business school. The original group of academics and businessmen who gave life that year to the Pan-American Institute of High Business Management (IPADE) became, a little later, the promoter of what is now the Universidad Panamericana. The Instituto Panamericano de Humanidades (IPH), the immediate predecessor of the Universidad Panamericana, was born in 1968. In 1978, the IPH was elevated to the rank of University, and took the name of Universidad Panamericana, although in fact, IPADE and IPH from its beginnings they conceived knowledge in a unitary and universal way, that is to say, university. The Universidad Panamericana has three campuses and a headquarters that serves about 12 thousand students in 33 majors. The first campus was inaugurated in Mexico City in 1968, then Guadalajara in 1981, and Aguascalientes in 1989. The Santa Fe headquarters, also in Mexico City, was inaugurated in 2011. It also has the School of Administration of ESDAI institutions. Being a single University, with the same spirit, the UP works every day on three fundamental pillars: teaching, research, and the dissemination of culture. By virtue of an agreement established between the Governing Board and the Opus Dei Prelature, the Universidad Panamericana has entrusted the said Prelature with the spiritual care and doctrinal orientation of its activities. The University has managed to position itself as one of the best in all of Mexico, in just a few.
