U.S. News and World Report has recognized the Shidler College of Business for excellence in international business. In addition, it is Hawaii's only business program accredited by AACSB International. The integrated, modern curriculum incorporates core business disciplines with cutting-edge business practices while also focusing on information technologies, entrepreneurship, e-business and Asia-Pacific and global strategies.

Valuable Networking Opportunities Among Diverse Class Members
Participants in the program represent diverse nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, industries, and disciplines. Beyond corporate executives, the class may also include attorneys, engineers and physicians, as well as those who work for the government, not-for-profits, and the military. You will benefit from their valuable insights and at the same time have the opportunity to establish long-lasting business relationships.

The 22-month Executive MBA allows you to pursue your educational goal while you continue in your present career. Participants find that they are immediately able to apply what they learn in class to the challenges of their daily business experience.

The Executive MBA program faculty has consulting, research and corporate experience throughout the Asia-Pacific region and internationally.

Convenient Class Schedule

Working managers and professionals can earn an MBA degree in just 22 months with classes held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. (light dinner provided from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), and every other Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. This schedule allows you to continue working and furthering your career while providing more time between classes to prepare and absorb the materials presented.

Core Curriculum

Rigorous and challenging, the Shidler College of Business Executive MBA curriculum is designed to sharpen tools, refine skills, and put global challenges in perspective. You can expect to experience professional growth, and you may also find that your own entrepreneurial spirits will be ignited. It is a thoroughly modern curriculum which carefully integrates the human, information technology and quantitative aspects of modern management in a results-oriented structure.

The curriculum focuses on the basics and at the same time explores disciplines of the new technology, including entrepreneurship, e-business, and Asia-Pacific and global strategies. Coursework is stimulating, enabling participants to gain a thorough understanding of the financial management process.

Among the most powerful trends that will continue to impact commerce is the globalization of markets. The Executive MBA curriculum challenges students to go beyond the classroom in their study of global business with an optional three-week "hands-on" Asian Field Study in the summer session. Students unable to participate on this trip may take two elective courses through the evening.

The Internet and the growth of widely dispersed organizations, crossing geographic and cultural boundaries, pose new business challenges. The Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship and e-business (PACE) addresses these challenges and opportunities with a curriculum that integrates the theory and practice of entrepreneurship with that of electronic business and information technology and a focus on state-of-the-art research programs and innovative outreach programs.

By presenting new theories and applications and by challenging participants to incorporate new concepts into their everyday business experiences, the Executive MBA curriculum prepares managers and executives to meet new real-world business challenges and opportunities and to succeed.
