Introduction
The Master of Science in Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a new two-year program offered by the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milan.
This program is intended to provide students with theories, tools, and expertise to turn ideas into business opportunities and manage corporate innovation efforts. The goal of the program is to form creative, hands-on graduates who can brilliantly contribute to innovation in several domains, both in existing organizations and by embarking on entrepreneurial journeys.
During the first year, students will follow a common track with advanced courses covering management of innovation, business history, business law, industrial organization, corporate banking and financial markets. By leveraging a varied portfolio of theories and methodologies, students will acquire the core essentials to manage the complexity of innovation management and new business development.
In the second year, enrolled students will have the opportunity to further specialize, by choosing one of the following three curricula: Digital innovation, Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property Rights. Theory and practice of entrepreneurship and innovation will be combined dynamically throughout the courses, making room for traditional lectures, case studies, project works, and interaction with professionals in the field. To this end, students will be provided with additional training opportunities, such as laboratories, research seminars, and elective courses to dig deeper into the most recent challenges and dynamics to lead innovation across domain and in newly founded entrepreneurial settings.
With an internationally-oriented approach, the Master of Science is designed to give to students the opportunity of working in multidisciplinary and multicultural contexts. Teamwork will be an integral part of the entire program, to promote critical and collaborative thinking, thus setting the basis for a unique learning opportunity.
