UNIVA is a university that is assumed to be socially committed to its role as an Institution of Higher Education. At the same time that progress is being made in theorization and instrumentation, social action is promoted from a basic and practical scheme:

A process within (ad intra) of the university community itself

A process outside (ad extra) of the same community

The ad intra process supports the integral formation of the entire university community, as a learning organization. The ad extra process seeks to primarily support the most vulnerable sectors and any other reality that requires intervention to favor the common good. This practical scheme, of attention within and outside the university community, has formal programs, projects, and actions with Social impact.
