In the five short years since the NYU Board of Trustees established the School of Global Public Health, we’ve expanded our programs, successfully earned accreditation, and graduated over 1,600 public health professionals. New York University NYU College of Global Public Health

Founded through NYU’s Center for Bioethics, the Master of Arts in Bioethics degree at GPH is one of the first programs in the world to promote a broad conception of bioethics encompassing both medical and environmental ethics. You’ll develop concepts and analytical skills that enable you to think critically about pressing challenges in the broad field of bioethics, and you’ll also have the opportunity to focus your studies through flexible curriculum options and the one-on-one guidance of your advisor.

MASTER OF ARTS IN BIOETHICS

The Master of Science in Biostatistics program will train students in biostatistical methods for study design, data analysis, and statistical reporting for scientific and lay audiences. This degree will train students in key areas including data management, statistical reasoning, the interpretation of numeric data for scientific inference in studies in medicine and public health, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with scientists and other public health stakeholders across disciplines. Graduates of the program are prepared to work as statisticians in a variety of professional environments including government, academic, healthcare, and industry. In addition, students receive training in preparation for quantitative doctoral programs in public health, such as biostatistics and epidemiology.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN BIOSTATISTICS

The Master of Science in Epidemiology is a research-focused degree that prepares students to design and conduct epidemiologic studies as well as analyze, interpret, model, and report on data from public health, health care, biomedical, clinical and population-based studies.
